About Us

Pit Stop Catering is a small local barbeque and more company. Owners Shawna and Myron Powell opened the business in 2010. Pit Stop Catering can be found at various festivals, fairs, and social events throughout Kansas City area serving patrons with the wonderful flavors of smoked meats and other taste bud pleasing items. We also cater corporate events, weddings and other parties. We welcome last minute gatherings and are flexible enough to handle multiple events at the same time.

Turn 2 Pit Crew

The Pit Stop Catering Pit crew consists of Shawna and Myron Powell along with longtime friends Misty and Chris Barnard. Together the pit crew has over 20 years of smoking, grilling, and cooking experience. Occasionally, when not catering, they will enter a Kansas city Barbque Society competion as "Turn 2 Pit Crew". However, entering contests is the crew's relaxation, as their primary mission is to please the general public when their tummies tell them it is a time for a pit stop.
